The Proclaimers 500 miles and David Tennant - 'who' would have thought it!

When David Tennant made his wrap party the following video was shown. It is new to me and is a real novelty for fans of David’s era as Dr Who. Comedy has always played a part in the Dr’s stories and behind the scenes japes are a pleasure to see.

I have included it in my blog as it reminds me of how great a show I feel the BBC gives us. My ‘Doctors’ are Tom Baker and Paul Mcgann but that does not mean I don’t like any other. In fact it is quite the opposite, each Dr brings his own spice. Without this the series could not have led the way for as many years as it did in the classic days. The days we did not have it on air others came forward with books and audio adventures. The Dr has always been kept alive and the wrap party video proves to me the love there is for the people that create it.

It will hopefully continue for years to come. The show will see other writers and actors. The 50th brought an overwhelming, rich and satisfying creative energy that has catapulted the show even further. Dr Who is a magnet for talent and, as the video shows, watchers and makers all enjoy and cherish what is now a British institution.
